Men's packable UPF 50+ sun hat in breathable 100% polyester. It folds to the size of a fist, opens back into a wide shade brim for the face and neck, and springs back into shape with no creases holding. Explore our full range of sun hats and caps.
The fabric blocks over 98% of UVA and UVB on the skin it covers, and because the protection is woven into the yarn, crushing it into a bag does not wear it out. Breathable cloth keeps the crown cool and an internal drawcord tunes the band for a steady hold. One size, adjustable, runs true. Machine wash cold on gentle, hang or lay flat to dry, reshape the brim by hand while damp. See also our UV clothing.
You pack light for a day trip and the sun is the one thing you cannot leave behind. Sun cover that fits in a jacket pocket. Browse the complete UV Max collection.

WHAT THE SUN IS DOING
The damage does not show up today
UV does not sting the way heat does, so you never feel it working. It stacks up quietly, one afternoon at a time, and turns up on your skin in your forties as spots and rough patches a doctor wants to look at. A cotton tee leaves your forearms and the back of your neck open to every hour of it. This shirt closes that gap.
WHAT THE SUN IS DOING
The two spots a cap always misses
A baseball cap shades your forehead and leaves the back of your neck and the tops of your ears in open sun. Those are the two spots men burn first and notice last. A brim that runs the whole way round, or a drop-down flap, finally covers both.
WHAT THE SUN IS DOING
Shade that moves with you
There is not always a tree where you need one. The brim keeps the sun off your face and ears on the water, on the ridge and in the open field, so the shade is there the moment the sun is.
WHAT THE SUN IS DOING
Folds flat, holds in a gust
It packs into a bag and the chin cord keeps it on when the wind comes off the water. UPF 50+ blocks over 98% of UV, so it protects for as long as you keep it on your head.
