Men's quick-dry zip-pocket shirt in satin-finish 100% polyester. Two zip chest pockets keep a key or a card from going overboard when you lean over the rail, and the short sleeves clear the shoulders and upper arms, the skin where lotion rubs off first. Explore our full range of UV clothing.
The fabric blocks over 98% of UVA and UVB on the skin it covers and carries the rating in the yarn, so it holds wash after wash. It dries fast after a soaking, sweat or spray, and flatlock seams lie flat under a strap. Regular fit, true to size. Machine wash cold with the pockets zipped, hang dry. See also our UV shirts.
Sunscreen on the shoulders is gone by late morning: sweat takes it off first and a splash from a wet landing finishes the job. This shirt keeps protecting long after the lotion has quit. Browse the complete UV Max collection.

WHAT THE SUN IS DOING
The damage does not show up today
UV does not sting the way heat does, so you never feel it working. It stacks up quietly, one afternoon at a time, and turns up on your skin in your forties as spots and rough patches a doctor wants to look at. A cotton tee leaves your forearms and the back of your neck open to every hour of it. This shirt closes that gap.
THE FABRIC
Protection woven in, not washed out
UPF 50+ rates the fabric, not a lotion you have to remember to reapply. The weave lets through less than a fiftieth of the ultraviolet that hits it, so over 98% of UVA and UVB stops at the surface. It is built into the yarn as the shirt is knitted, so nothing sits on top to sweat off or rinse away in salt water. The shirt blocks the same at four in the afternoon as it did at sunrise.
ALL-DAY COMFORT
Light enough to forget you have it on
The knit stretches in four directions and springs back, so it follows your shoulder through a cast or a swing instead of pulling against it. Flatlock seams lie flat and skip the rub on a long day. The polyester pulls sweat off your skin and dries in minutes, so it never turns into a wet rag stuck to your back.
ONE SHIRT, EVERY WEEKEND
From the boat to the trail to the yard
Men wear this fishing at dawn, on the course by noon, and out in the garden all afternoon. Thin enough for real heat, covered enough that the sun leaves your mind. One shirt that retires the sunscreen, the burn, and the heavy long-sleeve you used to soak through by lunch.
